| (We've got copyright on this...)
1. Welcome DOWN to Earth (The Oppressor) Welcome down to Earth We hope you enjoyed your birth From now, you are not yours We'll give you a number and You'll work, we'll command (The Prophet) Reality's a fucking tragedy You say that Earth is too small You say you need to build walls I say you're delusional You say that war is good for Science, economy and industry Since when is death good for humanity? We've all been born from the same seed What makes you think you're over me? We've all been born from a mother's womb What makes you think you're over me? Kneeling down before the ones to despise? We've been down before, now it's time to rise Hey, fuck you! Are you yet another scar on the surface? Will you join us in a war and face the faceless? So rise!
2. Contrails (The Prophet) Distortion in the theatre Some forgot how to act They were taught the wrong lines Raised to be oblivious Some forgot how to play They forgot just how to be Raised to be narcissistic Some forgot how to pay They forgot just who to be Contrails in the sky Won't help you to fly Contrails in the sky Won't save those who've died Some forgot the obvious Some forgot how to rise Some forgot how to sympathize Some of us never realize We've all got the same prize We'll all pay the same price Diseased mankind killing itself Diseased by being its innate self Naturally malfunctioning Artistic disorder We might reach the last hour
Distortion in the theatre We forgot how to react We might play the ending act
3. No Man's Land (The Prophet) From the wheel and fire Came the bomb; the deity of our days This ruling desire Hence the sound of children crying today The garden is fading Consumed by the roots of its flowers The prevalent victim Mother Earth is bleeding We're fools to give mankind a crown To make the world our own And be the first to burn it down We're tools - bred to be alive But raised to kill - or die And to murder our own mother We're blind - a plague to the mantle We make it all crumble Setting ablaze our own cradle Mankind - Proud to be Earth's child Civilized but gone wild Evolution of destruction Born on no man's land Thorn down by men's hand No one dares to stand Earth will never mend We will be the end of this wondrous sight
4. Eden's Curse (The Soldier) I've been given a one-way ticket to a cage Just drifting away from myself, refusing to obey Rust devastating the way to my shelf where only dirt remains But I'm trapped Eden's curse Trapped in a nightmare Foolish dream Turned into nightmare We've been given the Garden of Eden; the reward is living, the sentence is surviving (The Brother) No purpose to satisfy The craving for a life (The Soldier) I've been driven away from my dreams; my own ideals Just looking for a way to subsist; to give a sense to this I will be sent away to resist for those who can't exist Who are trapped (The Brother) No purpose; no eyes
5. Pandora (The Brother) His name means nothing for the ones he serves But means everything for the ones he left A lover for a day A brother in a way A soldier in the end For one, a sweet legend Behind each grave's a nameless star On long cold nights; he can only dream Of the warmth and softness of his Pandora A lover for a day A brother in a way A soldier in the end Sold himself to defend The ones he loves; his only scars A lover for a day A brother in a way A soldier in the end His scars will never mend So what's the point to win a war? A lover for a day A brother in a way A soldier? - don't pretend A man, a love, a friend Behind each grave's a nameless star
6. THE(H)ATER (The Oppressor) Attention, soldier! You've received a different skin and you've been trained to kill All you have to do is surrender your own free will You're sent to impose laws on other societies People with different colors and different ideas There's blood in your eyes; you are loosing your sanity You can't really tell if he's a man or an enemy It doesn't matter; you're the puppet of a man in a suit He points the target; point the gun and shoot shoot shoot shoot (The Prophet) Psychotic solipsism Homicidal egoism (The Oppressor) Now, for someone you can't see, it's like a game of chess He just moves pieces and lets the pawns handle the rest Orders; there is nothing else on which you can relate Listen to the whip crack; end it in a checkmate You can't really tell if he's a man or an enemy What kind of life he lived or if he has a family It doesn't matter now; you're the clown of a Sam in a suit He points the target; you're the trigger shoot shoot shoot shoot (The Prophet) Introducing the masters of grotesque Wishing for the world to be theirs Pretending to work for mankind's interest Only money gives; only money lives Sacrificing billions for one Then wonder which country won Believe me when I say that flags are only sins Why do you like tissue more than your own kin? Every lost life is a whole world that dies Probably a wife left to cry Mindlessly discarding existence But only money gives; only money lives
(The Oppressor) Just close your eyes and forget you're a man Be hypnotized; don't regret no man's land Just close your eyes and forget no man's land Be hypnotized; don't regret you're a man (The Brother) And somewhere inside you just can't forget Your Pandora; your only regret (The Soldier) The whole world has always been a theatre of war
7. [Versus 1] - The Pawn (The Prophet) Contemplating life through a rifle scope Only endings can be observed Bullets as faith; men as scapegoats Only endings can be offered (The Soldier) God is on my side When the world collides I'll follow my oath Marching on your vault Get out of my way There's no need to pray Only need’s to pay No one is just There's no one to trust I'll kill if I must You're my enemy It's not hard to see Your skin has told me Don't ask me why I can't justify You're going to die Moving forth along with the frontline With support from mechanical siblings We'll obliterate all signs of life Or, at least, all that is standing The more I kill, the more I get In a world where living is greed I am glad it’s the way we met Your passing provides me with what I need You are killed for your choice of god You are killed for your voice so odd You are killed for what WE call sin You are killed 'cause we're told that's how we win Contrails are followed by destruction Rays of clouds to bring down a race A work of art we call devastation Fireworks of total disgrace We are fighting for democracy For a world of equality It seems the only way to get freedom Is for us to take arms and get rid of some There isn't much of a difference Between a frontline and a death row I just need to shut down my conscience I am paid to send you to the next zone After all you are only insects And your death will mean nothing Your role is to be one with the mud Lying; dead; rotting God is on no side When the world collides I’ll forget my oath Marching to my vault Now ask me why I can justify I am going to die
8. [Versus 2] - The Human (The Soldier) Cold; lying down I realize I was wrong (The Brother) His name means nothing for the ones he served (The Soldier) I’ve been to war; I miss my scars The curtain falls on me now I built a wall around a star I could have been free; I should have been free Alone; I lost my crown I never got to apologize or say goodbye
9. After (The Brother) We've been through together We've whispered together You're lying down in white sheets And I am the last to close your eyes We've been through together, dear brother We've whispered together (The Soldier) I'm falling -
(The Brother) And I don't know how I could go on without you Unlock a door to the void and just step through Why you've gone away? You've lost your mind They don't care about you They've disposed of you We are still together, dear brother And you will be the last to close my eyes Remember what we've seen, brother Tell me what will remain after Remember what we've done, brother Tell me what made a gun better (The Soldier) I'm flying -
(The Brother) There's no hope, this is not my home If I'm left alone, I'll rely on a rope (and break free) What have you done? Why have you gone? You've killed us both For a flag on your vault
10. Siblings (The Prophet) We've all been born from the same blood; the same seed What made you think you could direct me?
Outroducing the masters of grotesque Wished to be the world; wished to be its heir Dared to bring men down to trivial interests But only money takes; only money breaks And there isn’t much of a difference Between life and a death row If you want a taste of your efforts Stick a knife down your throat
I would sacrifice the one for the billions If only I had such a god You should consider ending this oppression Before the enslaved wake and stand in your blood
We’ve all noticed our mistakes, but have we learned?
We've all been born from a mother's womb; ancestors' tombs How does it feel to be just like me? Every lost life’s a whole world that died Trust me; there’s a man inside every soldier What kind of a god is on your side when Only money shakes, only money takes, only money breaks
Now; we've all noticed our mistakes; what have we learned? Will we finally find peace or just surrender?
We've all been born - now, nothing else should change our ways How does it feel to be just like us? You're just like us...

- 1. Welcome DOWN to Earth
We've all been born from the same seed What makes you think you're over me? We've all been born from a mother's womb What makes you think you're over me? Dans le contexte que tu décris, la bonne expression serait "above me", parce "over me", ça indiquerait que tu fréquentais la personne et qu'elle t'as planté là et qu'elle est passée à autre chose... - I Anthem a écrit:
- 3. No Man's Land
Born on no man's land Thorn down by men's hand Ça s'écrit sans H, parce qu'avec un H, ça veut dire "épine"... - I Anthem a écrit:
- 4. Eden's Curse
- I Anthem a écrit:
- 6. THE(H)ATER
Why do you like tissue more than your own kin? - I Anthem a écrit:
- 9. After
Remember what we've done, brother Tell me what made a gun better Je dirais plus "tell me what a gun made better" (Qu'est-ce qu'un fusil a-t'il bien pu améliorer" plutôt que "Qu'est-ce qui a bien pu améliorer un fusil"... En gros, j'aime le concept des voix/visions qui sont en opposition tout au long. C'est vraiment bien écrit, tu as fait ça seul ou avec l'aide de ton band?

| It's all by meself dear...
but...
a bit late for correction since everything's been recorded already...
